About the Role
This is a leadership role where you’ll take ownership of the day to day operation of the kitchen’s lunch offering, overseeing a tight-knit team of chefs and sandwich hands while collaborating closely with the bakery and pastry teams.
You’ll lead the production of a high-quality range including fresh sandwiches and bagels, signature sourdough pizzas, savoury pastries, and more ensuring standards, consistency, and efficiency are maintained in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
Beyond production, you’ll manage the smooth running of the department, including ordering and stock control, rostering, recruitment, cleaning schedules, and equipment maintenance, helping the kitchen operate safely, efficiently and at a consistently high standard as the business grows.
The Candidate
We’re looking for a confident, practical kitchen leader who enjoys both people management and hands-on production. Ideally, you’ll bring:
Experience in food production, restaurants, catering, or similar environments
A strong eye for detail and pride in doing simple things exceptionally well
Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced setting
Positive, collaborative leadership with strong communication skills
Solid business acumen, including numbers, admin, recruitment, and rostering
Ability to adapt and work effectively in a shared, tight space
A growth mindset and interest in scaling operations
